Independence Day
60 yrs since the freedom, yet I am proud of being Indian but I wished I was an American
The economy is surging now yet it hasn’t reached my doorstep. We are no. 2 in terms of economic augmentation but yet we can see two worlds in different time periods exist in the same city as we reside. On one side we have the so called growing economy an the other we have the rather stagnant economy i.e. the poor section as we so call it …. So why isn’t this great economic growth that we are experiencing reaching the poor, why s the development reaching only the cities and the poor Indian farmers in villages who were the backbone of our economy for so many years now?
Is it true that we are just 60 yrs? Because India was never discovered or populated 60 yrs back!! We have always been there since the beginning of time and have only been ruled in between by strangers who we tried to treat well only to be stabbed in the back by them!! I guess we have struggled so much that we have loss count of our own age lolls or maybe we like the concept of staying young! Anyways jokes apart.
In today’s India we are educating ourselves so that we can be employed by our ex rulers which is pretty funny from my point of view. Anyways I guess we need a break from abusing this wonderful nation which has so many mysteries still embedded in it waiting to be solved …. Discovered even rather!!!!!
I guess no matter how many times I abuse this place of its stifling weather/climate or how its has deprived me of various opportunities and no matter where ever I live which is eminent now “ abroad” lol . I guess ill always miss the chaos of this country, all of its confused people …stabbing each others back …people who loose themselves in their fanatical beliefs. The indifferent behaviour rather “repellent behaviour” …………all of the above has been part of me for all of my upbringing days. The sweet memories are now embedded in me I guess I am actually lucky to be born in this nation which is so very diverse in every aspect of life.
Thus I am proud to say that I AM AN INDIAN. No matter how hard I try to be as pessimistic as possible about being an Indian. Deep down inside I am kina proud of what I am!
